eSenior – ICT and multimedia techniques for senior citizens
JSC „Global ideas“ participates in EC Lifelong Learning Programme with Grundtvig Learning Partnership project “eSenior – ICT and multimedia techniques for senior citizens“, project No. LLP-GRU-MP-2008-LT-00079.
Over the last three decades, information technology has transformed the way millions of people communicate, share and use information, shop, pay bills, and access services for everything. eSenior project aims to provide senior citizens with technology tools and training that can empower them to improve their quality of life, simplify many everyday tasks, access community and government services more easily, and participate fully in our increasingly digital society.
Project is coordinated by CREATIVE Platforma Szkoleniowo Doradcza s.c. (Poland).
The following organizations are project partners:
- Nostra Fortuna Tarcea-Ertarcsa (Romania);
- Associazione Culturale no profit Scarabeus (Italy);
- Ulmer Volkshochschule (Germany);
- JSC “Global ideas” (Lithuania);
- Formula Magic Formacion (Spain);
- Sehit Hasan Yarıs Public Education and Vocational Education Centre (Turkey).
During the two years of the project (2008-2010), partnership organizations are going to develop their educational offer aimed at senior citizens in the area of using information and communication technologies (ITC) and multimedia technologies.
The project consist of three parts. First part – preparation: adult learners groups are going to be organized, partnership organizations are going to make some researches on senior citizens needs in the ITC and multimedia technologies area in their communities, and develop a course for senior learners including specific context of each participant organization.
Second part: running these courses in each participant organization, communication between seniors around the Europe, increasing their awareness of ITC and multimedia techniques, communication between teachers – exchanging experiences.
Third part: evaluation, updating course programmes accordingly to partners experiences, sharing our knowledge with other European organizations
